Nathalie van der Howen – BScBiol
Nathalie is a Sleep Respiratory Therapist with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and treatment of Sleep Disorders, including Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. She graduated from University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Bachelor of Biological Science and is a dedicated and experienced professional working closely with patients to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
Nathalie has an extensive working history in Community Pharmacy and it is here that her passion for supporting patients who suffer from Sleep Disorders, and in particular Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, was galvanised. As part of the team at Sydney Sleep Centre, Nathalie is focused on maximising the healthcare benefits for patients, and ensures all patients receive the best treatment and are followed up appropriately.
Sleep Respiratory Therapist
Roy Sweeney – BSc, PGDipMedTech (Sleep)
Roy is our latest Sleep Respiratory Therapist. He comes to us with substantial experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Roy graduated from Otago University with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology endorsed in Sleep Medicine (with Merit). He has also completed the cardiology papers for this diploma.
Roy has extensive experience in both hospital and community roles, so can deliver a high quality of service with a knowledgeable and friendly approach. As part of the team at the Sydney Sleep Centre, Roys’ passionate approach allows patients to rest assured that they are receiving the best care and treatment possible.

Laura Athos
Laura is receptionist with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient assistance. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological sciences at The Australian Catholic University. Laura is hoping to become a clinical psychologist to further help individuals suffering from insomnia and other mental health related issues which may impact sleep. She is determined to provide the best service possible and assist patients with any enquiries they may have.
Reception/Administration
Sarah Howle – BPsySc (CQU), BCom (UOW)
Sarah has years of customer service and administration experience and enjoys working within the health care industry. She has a Bachelor of Psychological Science and is currently study a Masters of Social Work. She is hoping to work within the mental health area upon completion of this degree. Sarah aims to ensure every patient has a positive experience and receives the best care possible.
